KN 148 II RHAPSODY

COOL-LITE^® KN 148 II RHAPSODY is a selective solar control coating which extends our range of COOL-LITE KN coatings by a new ‘to be tempered’ reference.

The major features are its solar control factor (g=0,32 in DGU), the low inside reflection (RLi=18%), high thermal insulation (Ug = 1.0 W/m²K) and its special aesthetic. The coating is deposited as a standard on PLANICLEAR*.

With its slightly ivory, yet neutral appearance, COOL-LITE^® KN 148 II RHAPSODY meets the demand for architects’ design aspect. It exists now on PLANICLEAR*, and there are many different thicknesses to satisfy all the requests.

COOL-LITE^® KN 148 II RHAPSODY is also very performing in terms of thermal insulation achieving a Ug-value of 1.0 W/m²K in a standard IGU with 16 mm 90% Argon filled cavity and is the best in this category of coatings.

Energy efficiency:  Thermal comfort is critical for the well-being of building occupants. With KN 148 II you obtain comfortable interiors during both summer and winter, in line with the new NZEB requirements. This criterion is gaining importance in Green building labels such as LEED, BREAM.

Differentiation: Differentiation is sometimes the key to win the market! Unlike most of the neutral coating, KN 148 II RHAPSODY is distinct by its slightly ivory aesthetic, still remaining in the neutral area. This special aesthetic brings more possibilities for architectural design.

Flexibility: more and more, we observe that clients are looking for products with multiple functionalities and can be processed easily. KN 148 II RHAPSODY is a coating which can be subjected to all type of processing, such as: Tempering, Bending, Laminating. Furthermore, the coating is available with Easy Pro, for a better, easier processability.

AESTHETICS: medium external reflectivity (*27%) with slightly ivory color, meeting the latest architectural trends for a strong design statement. The low internal reflection brings optimal visual comfort.

SOLAR PROTECTION: achieving a very good level of solar protection with a solar factor of *0,32, cooling loads are reduced under hot climates

THERMAL COMFORT: excellent level of thermal insulation, Ug =1.0, for maximum of comfort during winter.

VISUAL COMFORT: suitable for hot, sunny areas, offers high visual comfort through the appropriate light transmission and glare reducing.
